Family seeks a nanny for their two children, ages 2 and 3-and-a-half.
Location: Annandale, NJ
Start date: March 1
Hours: Preferred schedule: 8:30-4:30. Start and end time each day can vary based on the nanny’s need, but a minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed
Pay: $25-$30 per hour
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 sick/pto days, federal holidays
Duties: Provide care for both children, including ensuring their safety, educational activities, arts and crafts, outside time, keeping play areas neat and tidy, doing the children’s laundry, and occasional drop offs/pick ups from classes/pre-school programs. A third child is on the way, but the nanny will not be responsible for this child as Mom will be home with them. If the third child does become the nanny’s responsibility down the line, the rate will increase.
About the family: The family is a close-knit bunch who enjoy spending time together reading, baking, exploring, and trying new things. They are flexible and easygoing and have a creative, fun, and gentle approach to parenting with an emphasis on independence and learning practical skills. They enjoy allowing their children to problem solve while guiding them through difficult situations, and ultimately want to give their children a foundation of caring for each other and the environment around them
What they are looking for in a nanny: The nanny must possess a minimum of 4 years of nanny-specific experience, along with experience caring for multiple children at once. Their ideal nanny is hands-on and attentive, warm, responsible, reliable, a good communicator, and has a love for kids and teaching. They are looking for someone to help ease the stress of parenting while preparing for the arrival of a new baby in the house and to help foster an open and loving environment where the kids can flourish and be themselves. The parents hope to work as a team with the nanny to help the children grow into creative, independent, kind, and capable humans.
Requirements:
– Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications are a plus
– 3 to 4 years of paid nanny experience
– A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position
