Family seeks a nanny for infant (3 months at the time of start). Long-term and live-out.
Location: Riverside, Connecticut
Start date: March 1, 2023
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM; 40 hours guaranteed
Pay: $25-$30
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 4 sick/pto days, major holidays
Duties: You will be responsible for all care for the infant, including but not limited to maintaining a schedule/routine, preparing and feeding bottles, changing diapers, putting down for naps, planning developmentally appropriate activities during wake time, cleaning bottles/food, tidying playroom, and bathing child if needed. Sleep training support may be needed. Once start solids, feed and assist in introducing new foods. There is a dog in the home, but no pet care if required.
About the Family: The family are new parents to an infant seeking a loving nanny to care for their child in their absence. They describe their parenting style as having flexible routines, enjoying consistency, and having a schedule for the day but knowing that adjustments happen. The baby is still very little and is just coming into their personality. The family enjoys spending time outdoors and making play central to the day.
What they are looking for in a nanny: You possess prior experience with newborns (less than 6 months) and are happy, playful, and eager to offer a fun and educational environment for the baby. You enjoy planning activities and sensory experiences as the baby develops, and you are comfortable creating and maintaining a routine during the day.
Bonuses if you are fluent in Spanish (must be fluent in conversational English as well) and have sleep training experience.
Requirements:
-Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications are a plus.
-A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
-3 to 4 years of paid nanny experience
Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States as all positions are paid on the books.
