Family seeks a nanny for their infant child age 4 months. Long-Term live-out position.
Location: Fair Haven, New Jersey
Start date: February 21, 2023
Schedule: Monday and Thursday-7AM-5:30PM; Tuesday 7AM-4:30PM and Friday (guaranteed 40 hours per week), but times can be flexible every day beside Tuesday.
Pay: $25-$30 an hour
Benefits: 4 weeks paid vacation, major holidays, 5 sick/pto days, mileage reimbursement
Duties: You will provide care for the 4-month-old including feeding, age-appropriate play, reading to her, taking walks to park and around our neighborhood. When the child is older, you’ll enjoy taking her to age-appropriate classes and activities. When the baby naps, you’ll make sure areas that the child plays are neat and tidy, bottles are cleaned, and the baby’s laundry is done. Very occasionally and usually with advanced notice, the older two children may need care, and during that time the nanny will be compensated $3-$5 more per hour (agreed upon in advance).
About the Family: The family has 3 children (the older two are 3 and 5) but are seeking care for their infant aged 4 months. The family enjoys being active together, spending time outdoors, riding bikes, and planning various fun activities to participate in together. They practice authoritative parenting using an overall gentle and responsive approach but setting clear boundaries for the children. The infant has so far been very easygoing and has put herself on a great schedule, and the family is excited to watch her grow and blossom into her. personality in the coming months. Dad works long, varying hours in the city while mom works a more local, consistent schedule but sometimes has adjustments come up.
What they are looking for in a nanny: You possess prior experience with newborns (less than 6 months) and genuinely enjoys that age and everything that comes with it. You want to support the baby’s development through age-appropriate play and are not someone who will use screen time while the baby is awake. You are flexible and are able to make minor scheduling adjustments with proper notice and compensation to fit the family’s needs.
Requirements:
-Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications are a plus
-A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position
-3 to 4 years of paid nanny experience
-Fully vaccinated
Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States as all positions are paid on the books.
