Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 2 year old & 4 year old children. Long-term and live-out.
Location: Long Valley, New Jersey
Start date: Immediately
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (guaranteed 50 hours per week)
Pay: $25 an hour
Benefits: 2 sick days, 4 weeks paid vacation of the family’s choosing (two in the summer and two at the end of December), and 8 holidays
Duties: The 4 year old will be in preschool half days and will be napping when he comes home, so while the nanny is responsible for both children, they will be with the 2 year old for the majority of the day. The nanny will be responsible for all things related to the children such as transporting to and from school and activities, cleaning up after the children daily, preparing and serving meals for the children, and doing the children’s laundry once a week.
About the Family: The children love to play outside, ride bikes, blow bubbles, draw with chalk, go to the park, play games, color, practice letters, arts and crafts, playdoh, and reading. Their 4 year old loves trucks, construction, and can be a little shy. Their 2 year old is very determined, talkative, and loves doing everything her brother does. The parents have rules and guidelines for the children, but they take more of a gentle approach when it comes to discipline, and try to always approach the children’s needs with understanding and patience. Mom travels often for work so reliability and dependability is a must.
What they are looking for in a nanny: Somebody has experience caring for multiple children at a time, is active and energetic and willing to take the children outside every day, someone who can take and follow directions well, who can follow a schedule, open and loving, and who has great communication skills. They want someone to be comfortable in their home and with their family and who will be with them for many years to come (until both children are in school full-time).
Requirements:
-Candidates will need to have a valid license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
-CPR & First Aid Certified
-Flu shot and covid vaccine (+booster)
