Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 3-year-old and 7-month-old children
The family is located in Hillsdale, New Jersey and they are seeking a full-time nanny for their 2 children Monday-Friday. The hours would be 8:15-5:30 3 days per week with 2 days being 8:15-4:30, with a guaranteed 51 hours per week. Pay is $23-$25 per hour based on experience, plus benefits. This is a great opportunity for a nanny with at least 3 years of experience.
The children will be 3-years-old and 7-months-old in August when the position begins. The 3-year-old is a sensitive soul who loves arts and crafts and imaginative play. She is very task oriented and loves dolls and nurturing care play. The 7-month-old is smiley and happy. The nanny will be responsible for all care of the children including feeding, entertaining, keeping the children clean and dry, keeping play spaces clean and tidy, washing bottles, light meal prep, laundry, keeping a log of diaper changes/feedings/activities, and taking them to and from activities occasionally.
Their ideal nanny is someone who is positive, nurturing, emotionally-sensitive, firm with rules and safety. Someone who is inventive and can turn anything into a teachable moment. They are hopeful they will find a nanny who is familiar with developmental milestones and who will take the time to incorporate practicing those milestones throughout the day. They want the nanny to encourage both independent and collaborative play, with emphasis on creative and imaginative play (playing house, etc), participating in games that recreate experiences from everyday life, and encourage learning of letters, colors, numbers, shapes, patterns, counting, vocabulary, etc.The family is very close-knit and are hoping to find a nanny that will become an extension of them, someone who will stay with them for years to come.
Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications a plus.
A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
This position starts as soon as possible.. This position is full-time and live-out.
