Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 19-month-old child
The family is located in Morris Plains, New Jersey and they are seeking a full-time nanny for their child Monday-Friday. The hours Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday would be 7:30-5:30 with 4 hours on Wednesday, with a guaranteed 44 hours per week. There is potential for overtime paid at time-and-a-half. Pay is $23-$28 per hour plus benefits. This is a great opportunity for a nanny with at least 3 years of experience.
The child is 19-months-old and enjoys playing, learning, and exploring. He is laid back, loving, and inquisitive. The nanny will be responsible for all care of the children including feeding, entertaining, keeping the children clean and dry, keeping play spaces clean and tidy, washing bottles, light meal prep, laundry, keeping a log of diaper changes/feedings/activities, and taking them to and from activities occasionally.
Their ideal nanny is a reliable, professional care giver with 3+ years of experience with infants and toddlers and who is willing to care for a toddler and eventually a newborn when the family chooses to expand. Someone flexible with occasional long work days. Comfortable with cooking basic meals for toddler and, occasionally, 2 adults. Receptive to feedback. Easy going personality to match theirs. Background in early childhood development/Montessori a plus.
They hope the nanny will spend their days reading to the child, taking him to the park, going for walks, going to the library, doing arts and crafts, and allowing for self play which the child enjoys such as blocks, puzzles, looking through books independently, and other developmental toys.
The family is relocating from Michigan so they will be new to the area. They are hoping to find a nanny who will stay with them longterm and who will become an extension of their family.
A BLS certification will be required. The family will pay for the nanny to become certified if they aren’t already.
Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications a plus.
A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
This position starts as soon as possible.. This position is full-time and live-out.
Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States as all positions are paid on the books.
