Family seeks a part-time nanny for their 2 children, ages 3 and 9 years old.

The family is located in Maplewood, New Jersey and they are seeking a part-time nanny Monday-Friday from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM (the family can guarantee 30 hours, if needed). Pay is $20-25 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits (1 week paid vacation, ideally when the family takes theirs, 3 sick/personal days, major holidays). This is a long-term position for 2 years or more.

The nanny will be responsible for transporting children to and from school and activities, engaging them in play, and keeping them safe, and cleaning up after them and helping them to clean up. Help with the children’s laundry would be greatly appreciated, as well.

Their children have warm, affectionate, funny, and creative personalities, and they like to play pretend, do arts and crafts, read, play outdoors (playground, bikes, scooters), and play with their toys (Legos, Matchbox cars/trucks).

Their ideal nanny is one who is youthful in spirit, energetic, engaging, loves to read, reliable, punctual, a safe driver, and can keep their cool and not become frazzled. They envision their nanny becoming like a part of their family, who their children will love and the parents will be comfortable with.

Candidates will need to have a valid license and a reliable vehicle to get to and from work, but the family will provide a car to transport the children.

Candidates should be CPR and First Aid certified.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of steady nanny experience. 1-3 years minimum experience and longevity in past positions is preferred.

Candidates should have a flu shot, TDAP, and be fully COVID vaccinated prior to employment, or be willing to receive all three prior to employment.

This position is part-time, live-out with a start date at the end of July 2022.
