Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 1-year-old and 2-year-old children
The family is located in Brookside, NJ and they are seeking a full-time nanny for their 2 children, ages 1 and 2, starting as soon as possible. The schedule is 8am-7pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 3:30-7:30 Tuesday and Thursday. (guaranteed 41 hours per week). Pay is $21-27 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits. This is a long-term position.
The nanny’s responsibilities will be all care for the children, including laundry, clean up of their areas, feeding, soothing, planning engaging activities, tending to their health needs as necessary, changing diapers, and keeping them clean and dry. This position will require pick up from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so a car, valid license, and clean driving record will be required.
The children love to play outside, read, play with toys, do arts and crafts, and play pretend. Both are curious and very sweet. The 2-year-old is affectionate, talkative, and likes to explore. The 1-year-old is talkative and happy, and is really starting to grow into her personality at this age. Both children love active play.
Their ideal nanny would be patient, kind and affectionate with experience working with children close in age. The family is hoping the nanny will become a longterm part of their family, so they are hoping to find someone with a history of lengthy tenure with each prior family. The parents have adopted a gentle parenting approach, and are looking for a nanny to care for the children in a way that encourages Montessori style play and learning. They are raising their children to be progressive and inclusive, and it’s very important to them to find a nanny who is comfortable instilling those values into their children as well.
Candidates will need to be CPR & First Aid Certified. Other certifications a plus.
A valid license and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
This position starts as soon as possible.. This position is full-time and live-out.
