Family seeks a nanny for their 2 children, ages 2.5 years and 6 months old.

The family is located in Maplewood, New Jersey and they are seeking a full-time nanny Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, with flexibility. Pay is $23-26 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits. This is a long-term position.

The family needs help establishing and maintaining the children’s daily activities, which include playtime, reading, and very little television/entertainment, assisting with meal preparation for the children, light housekeeping, maintaining the children’s laundry, and scheduling playdates with other children (at the parents’ discretion). The family does have cats, but the nanny will not be responsible for their care.

Their ideal nanny is one who is dedicated and experienced with multiple children close in age. Reliability and excellence in communication are ideal, though ultimately the family is looking for a parent partner who will be an integral member of the household. Someone energetic, knowledgeable about child development, hands-on with activities to engage the children in while also educating them (family has a light classroom structure with stations for arts and crafts and other activities for the nanny to do with the children), and who can be an extension of the parents.

Candidates will need to have a valid license and a reliable vehicle.

Candidates should be legal US citizens and willing to be paid on the books.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of steady nanny experience. 1-3 years minimum experience and longevity in past positions is preferred.

Candidates should have a flu shot, TDAP, and be fully COVID vaccinated prior to employment, or be willing to receive all three prior to employment.

This position is full-time, live-out with a start date of ASAP.
