Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 2 & 5 year old children.

The family is located in Summit, NJ. They are seeking a full-time, long-term nanny for their 2 children, ages 2 & 5. This position has an immediate start date. The hours are Tuesday – Friday from 7:45 AM – 6:30 PM, with a guarantee of 43 hours per week. From Memorial Day until Labor Day, the position will be Monday – Thursday. It is very important that the nanny be flexible to come in earlier and stay later as needed, when one of the parents is travelling for work (i.e. spending the night or coming in early). Pay is $25 an hour, based on experience. The family is offering 2 weeks’ paid vacation, 5 personal days, and 8 federal holidays, as well as a sign-on bonus to be paid after 6 months of employment.

The family will need help with all tasks related to the care of the child including cooking lunch and dinner for the children (full, healthy meals), driving the children to and from activities and school, cleaning up after the children, doing the children’s laundry, and keeping the areas they use tidy and clean. This position will turn into a household management position when the children are both in school full time, so candidates willing to adapt and grow with the family are a must.

Their ideal nanny is energetic, hands-on, and engaging, laid-back, loving, and kind, who can also be firm and enforce rules and boundaries. it is important that they find a long-term nanny who can work well as a team with them and be like an extended member of the family. The children are both super active and love to be outdoors, so they require a nanny that can keep up with them.

Candidates will need to be CPR and First Aid certified prior to employment. Candidates will also need to have a license and a reliable vehicle, although one will be provided when transporting the children.

Candidates should have the flu shot and be fully vaccinated for Covid prior to employment, and willing to get their covid booster when it’s available to them.

This position is full-time, live-out to start immediately.
