Family seeks a full-time nanny for their 7 month old.

The family is located in Montville, NJ. They are seeking a full-time, long-term nanny for their 7 month old. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (or until 7:00 PM on days when mom is working out of the home). Pay is $20-21/hour, based on experience. The family is also offering 2 weeks’ paid vacation (one of the family’s choosing), sick days (as needed), 7 paid holidays, as well as varying time off when the family takes additional time off or goes away.

The family will need help with all tasks related to the care of the child including meal preparation & feeding, cleaning the child’s dishes & other feeding instruments, emptying the diaper pail, cleaning up the child’s toys (while teaching her how to clean up after herself as she gets older), making the child’s bed, and weekly laundering of the child’s clothes and sheets. The nanny would also be responsible for ensuring the child has adequate outside time. The family also has a 4 year old dog (80lbs) and would love for the nanny to let the dog out into the backyard as needed, as well as walking him once a day for 20-30 minutes (preferred, but not required).

Their ideal nanny is reliable, caring, honest, punctual, patient, and a good communicator. They require an active, hands-on nanny who can focus on education and helping the child to hit all of her developmental milestones. Their ideal nanny loves dogs, takes their job seriously (but not themselves), is firm regarding house rules (but isn’t a disciplinarian who is quick to scold), and is comfortable sharing their feedback with the parents, but is open to taking direction as well. They are looking for a nanny who can become like part of the family.

Candidates will need to have a valid license and a reliable vehicle. CPR and First Aid certification is required.

Candidates should have a flu shot, TDAP, and be fully vaccinated for COVID(and willing to get the booster) prior to employment, or be willing to receive all prior to employment. Candidates should also be on a low-risk level for covid exposure, even if vaccinated.

This position is full-time, live-out to start November 15, 2021.
